Deputy Manager


Who we're looking for:

We are looking for someone who is confident and capable to make pressurised decisions. Friendly and enthusiastic in talking to customers, passionate in driving the comapny forward and interacting with staff, organised in making sure the comapny runs like clockwork, and a brand ambassador!


The role:

The Deputy Manager will be in charge of day-to-day running of the Stoned business. You will be the warm welcome to customers, and the driving force to the team. You will contribute to organizing staff rotas on a weekly basis, not only for the Braunton venue, but also for the pop-ups. When the manager isn't around you will be in charge of managing suppliers - this will involve placing orders for food/packaging/logs etc, making sure it arrives on time and is paid for. This will also include liaising with the Head Baker on quantities needed.

Social media management will be an important role. You will need to write content for all channels that we run as well as taking pictures, and making videos. You will be working closely with Tom, and the rest of the team to ensure there is always a good spirit and that the opinions of the team are well voiced. You will need to manage the front of house team, and ensure everything runs smoothly and is well organized. You will help create team activities, and schemes to make the jobs of everyone (including your own) as fun as possible!

Stoned is a wood fired food company dedicated to producing the highest quality food possible, in a visual, engaging way, whilst having a load of fun. Over the last 3 years we’ve built our reputation operating pop-up sites and this is our first permanent premises of what we plan to be many - it’s a very exciting time to get involved. The venue is a take-out or eat-in and will offer pastries and breads throughout the morning, ‘sandwiches’ (not actual sandwiches) at lunchtime and pizzas in the evening. We’re based on the coast in North Devon so this could also be an exciting move for you if you are looking for a lifestyle change.
